Rest, Renewal, and Mission in the Mountains

2025 Changed Lives Ministry Retreat

Last week, our Changed Lives Ministry family gathered in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina for a transformative leadership retreat. Our time together was focused on growing in faith and mission while finding rest and restoration in His Word. As Scripture reminds us, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God” (Exodus 20:8–10).

We connected through praise, prayer, and fellowship, all aimed at continuing our mission of transforming lives. In those quiet moments, we were reminded of Jesus’ invitation: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

Throughout the retreat, we embraced opportunities to reflect on our personal journeys and the collective impact of our ministry. As we shared stories and experiences, we were reminded of the importance of our mission and the strength we draw from our faith. “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength” (Isaiah 30:15).

The serene mountain setting provided the perfect backdrop for our discussions and worship. We found inspiration in Scripture, including verses that highlighted our commitment to service and transformation, as well as the reminder that “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath” (Mark 2:27).

We left the retreat renewed in spirit and unified in our goals, eager to continue our work in furthering the mission of Changed Lives Ministry—resting in God’s promises and moving forward in His strength.
